Real Guy Productions Celebrates 15 Years on YouTube

Our YouTube channel has been posting videos since about 2010.

Chase's love for video creativity lives on!

The Foundation

Chase Green recently revealed some notable history about our channel in a YouTube community post.

When Chase was a kid, he enjoyed watching films, TV programs, and Internet videos. In 2009, during his early years in elementary school, he used his parents' camera to create a couple of stop-motion animations. His hands were somewhat shaky, too, since he was a pretty young boy at the time. Chase's Dad put one of the videos on his own channel. Chase's relatives and family friends enjoyed the video.

The following year, Chase's Mom and Dad launched a new YouTube channel for Chase to use for sharing his own videos. Chase's Mom named it "Real Guy Productions" after a frequent signature for one of Chase's drawings from his childhood.

"It was a pretty random and weird signature I had come up with," admitted Chase. "Maybe I would have come up with a better signature if I had been more confident and creative at the time. However, I guess the channel name has stuck with me ever since, and people seem to recognize the channel with this name by now."

Evolution and Subsequent Devolution

Over time, Chase tried miscellaneous video-making methods for the fun of making and sharing them. These included animations, music videos, fan-recreations related to popular culture, reviews, performances with puppets, and sketch comedy. Real Guy Productions now has 493 subscribers.

Sadly, most - if not all - of Chase's videos from the far past seem to have disappeared. But thankfully, he's now developing additional content to post on three channels run by himself. he hopes to grow his content in the near future.

Our Target Audiences

These days, Chase only creates and shares videos for family audiences. Some of these are even set as "made for kids" on YouTube. Chase used to watch films, TV programs, and videos inappropriate for viewers under the age of 18 long ago, but now he doesn't enjoy them anymore. He feels "totally embarrassed" by how negatively such media affected him as a kid and later a teen. Chase also doesn't want to be responsible for potential issues with kids and teens watching YouTube.

Plus, Chase has recently turned off every single comment board on his YouTube account "as part of a strategic decision for the safety of both [himself] and the audiences for [his] various family-friendly videos." These audiences do include any kids watching his videos.

Future of Real Guy Productions

After 15 years, we here at Real Guy Productions are still working on the Billy the Bear & Friends series on its corresponding YouTube channel, which now has 20 subscribers, and we hope to post more episodes sometime soon. We're also starting to develop a new remake series based on the classic TV show Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends. Additionally, we're trying to come up with cartoons for a new channel called Real Guy Toon Studio, which has recently been launched, but has no videos up yet.

In addition to these types of videos, Chase is using YouTube to share reviews. He's even made two cover music videos with puppets, and one original short comedy skit titled "My Dad, the Weird Comedian".

Thanks to You All!

Special thanks go to everyone who watches and supports our videos. This, along with Chase's enjoyment of making and sharing on-profit videos, is bound to make Real Guy Productions successful.
